The Excel V vascular laser system uses a unique high-power green laser to precisely treat visible vessels, broken capillaries, spider veins, vascular lesions and skin discolouration. By delivering a pulse of light energy into the vessel, the blood within the vein coagulates, eventually destroying the vessel and redirecting the blood flow to veins deeper below the skin’s surface. The laser light is absorbed by abnormal blood vessels in the skin, which heats and eliminates the vessels, ultimately restoring normal skin tone and color. For the best results, we recommend 2 to 4 treatments. The number of treatments that will work best for you depends on the amount, color, and size of the veins treated.
